Sherriff Goslin Roofing | Quality Roofing Since 1906
A century-plus roofing name with the standards, training, products, and field experience to handle serious residential roofing, commercial steep-slope roofing, specialty roof systems, and gutter system decisions.
Company first
The Sherriff Goslin name, logo, history, and reputation are the foundation. Joe gives homeowners, property managers, churches, schools, hotels, condominium associations, and commercial owners a direct path to a real person inside that company. The goal is simple: match the roof and water-management system to the property, the budget, the weather exposure, and the life expectancy the building actually needs.
The Sherriff Goslin story
Sherriff Goslin traces its roots to 1906 in Battle Creek, Michigan. The company became Sherriff Goslin Company in 1920 and grew across Michigan, Indiana, and Ohio while developing its own roofing identity around Art-Loc interlocking shingles, long-standing family leadership, and a culture built around quality, safety, and integrity.

Products are selected for fit, durability, profile, and manufacturer support. The roof is treated as a system, not a stack of materials.
Recommendations should be understandable, defensible, and tied to the real condition of the building. No fog, no pressure theater.
Communication, scheduling, site protection, and cleanup matter because the experience is part of the finished roof.
Specialty systems require details: ventilation, flashings, transitions, underlayments, fastening patterns, and water movement.
Joe's role inside Sherriff Goslin
Industry experience: Joe brings more than 30 years of roofing experience, including over 15 years with Sherriff Goslin focused on troubleshooting, application standards, product use, and solving problems inside roofing systems.
Quality results: Within two years, that field work helped greatly reduce callbacks and application-related product errors, strengthening the way crews approached installation details.
Training builder: After effectively working himself out of that original role, Joe helped launch a real-world training facility where employees could learn installation methods hands-on.
Video library: Joe also helped build a training video library available to employees before and after in-person training, creating a repeatable standard beyond a single classroom session.
Branch support: He traveled regularly to most Sherriff Goslin locations, working with customers, managers, and crews on application questions, quality concerns, and roof system problem-solving.
Program development: Joe helped move the company into commercial steep-slope work for larger properties such as condominium complexes, hotels, schools, and churches, then into metal roof systems and a residential metal roofing program with a 20-year weathertight warranty.
